I started reading Nonie Darwish’s new book, Wholly Different, Why I Chose Biblical Values Over Islamic Values, and just in the first few pages I was amazed that it really is so simple. Islam in a “Western Culture” is NOT compatible. Not just that it is NOT compatible with the U.S. Constitution, it is fully NOT compatible with ANY western culture. Here are a few excerpts from her book and why it matters.
…Muslims in the West are desperately trying to convince everyone here that Islam, Judaism, and Christianity are all basically one and the same Abrahamic faith. But that is an intentional lie, the opposite of everything preached in mosques.
The Islamic God, Allah, requires his followers to dedicate their lives to change, fix, convert, or kill the evil kafirs, whom Allah calls his enemies.
Islam has nothing to do with Abraham and Biblical values. In fact it awards the highest esteem to Muslims who kill the children of Abraham, the Jews.
I am only a few pages in and I could NOT let these simple statements sit in memory without relaying them to anyone who will read this. She is explaining how Christianity saved her life when she came to America. She tells how Islam never let her question anything Islamic and yet she needed to do just that to explain her fathers death via Jihad against Israel. [Read her book if you don’t know that story]
Then it hit me… Islam is afraid to let people choose it to lead their lives. That is why it is forced by the sword. No other religion demands you to follow it. In the West, you can choose Catholic, Protestant, Buddhism, Hinduism, Atheism, etc. There are people continually knocking on doors, asking you to follow their version of religion. It’s a simple Yes or No when they knock. Only Islam demands you convert. If declined, Islam requires you to be killed or enslaved. It will NEVER assimilate. It can’t. And if you do convert, don’t try to leave Islam. Even Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, February 2013 on Al Jazeera TV network said the application of the death penalty for leaving Islam is a necessity. And stated: “If they had gotten rid of the apostasy punishment, Islam wouldn’t exist today.”
I leave you with one last excerpt from Nonie’s book:
Islam was created six hundred years after Christianity not to affirm the Bible, but to discredit it; not to co-exist with “the people of the book,” — Jews and Christians — but to replace them.
All of this and I’m only on page 9. It really is this simple! I highly recommend her book!
