Washington Examiner: Former White House strategist Steve Bannon is launching a daily radio show and podcast about President Trump’s impeachment that seeks to counter a “well-oiled Democratic media machine.”

The hourlong show, starting Wednesday, is called War Room: Impeachment. It will air daily at 9 a.m. on six conservative talk radio stations in Virginia and Florida.

Bannon said the show is aimed at political operatives in Washington and conservative grassroots activists nationwide. The former Trump aide said he was not optimistic about how the White House and Republicans have responded to House Democrats’ impeachment proceedings.

“This is one of the reasons that the math is getting away from the White House,” he told Politico. “It doesn’t take an astrophysicist to see that among independents and even Republicans, you’re starting to see a move against the president on this impeachment issue. It’s not being taken seriously.”

He added, “This is a mortal threat to Trump’s presidency.”

Bannon speculated that if the Republican-controlled Senate acquits Trump in a trial, it could come with conditions that put constraints on Trump’s agenda.

“I couldn’t be more excited to do this and offer a platform to at least get the president’s viewpoints, although we will be very even-handed,” he said.

Bannon predicted last week that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi would bring impeachment charges against Trump over allegations that he improperly pressured the leader of Ukraine to launch an investigation into his political rival Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, “in the next six weeks.”

Bannon left the White House in August 2017 and was attacked by Trump after making critical comments about the president’s family.
