The Washington establishment and complicit media are desperate to change the conversation about the September 11th Islamic jihad terrorist attacks that killed 3,000 Americans in 2001. They want to pivot to the poor suffering Muslims who are the supposed real victims of that terrible day, victims of hate speech and discrimination. Never mind that hate crimes against Muslims are down 42 percent, according to the latest government figures.
The Virginia Department of Education put out a video instructing public schools that the focus of the day must shift to stamping out what the video calls “anti-Muslim racism”. The line being put out is that Muslims are the victims here, victims of the American response to the attacks. Teachers are to leave out Islamic extremism and terrorism when teaching about 9/11. Heaven forbid you teach about how many people died that day.
This is in line with recommendations for classroom instruction from the Council on American-Islamic Relations or CAIR, which is Hamas in America and an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terrorism financing case. Top of mind for CAIR is anti-Muslim bigotry and bullying in school. Its classroom resource guide recommends not associating 9/11 with Islam or Muslims at all and steering classroom discussion, instead, towards bigotry and hate crimes against Muslims.
Leftists recommend we skip 9/11 entirely and deflect attention right away to the big bugaboo of white supremacy. 9/11 is out; January 6th is the only thing worth talking about, according to this false narrative. This game has been going on since at least 2018 when a Muslim employee of the FBI kept deflecting attention away from domestic Islamic terrorism and toward white supremacy at a community relations event in Detroit.
The narrative keepers want us to believe that the 9/11 hijackers were just dissatisfied with American foreign policy, or what they did was not real Islam or, in the immortal words of Ilhan Omar, “some people did something.”
Here’s the truth: the 9/11 attacks would not have occurred but for the standard Islamic doctrines of sharia supremacy and jihad, as shown by Arabic-language sources of Al Qaeda messages at the time. Moreover, in 2009, five masterminds of the 9/11 attacks including Khalid Sheikh Mohammed – calling themselves the “9/11 Shura Council” – wrote that the 9/11 attacks were an “act of Jihad”, jihad being “a great duty in our religion.” They quoted numerous verses from the Quran including the infamous ‘Verse of the Sword’ – “fight and slay the pagans wherever you find them.”
This is real Islam, which is the real meaning of the 9/11 attacks. ‘Why do they hate us?,’ George W. Bush wondered after the attacks. They hate us because their religion commands them to hate us and no amount of official deflection to white supremacy can change that fact. I said at the outset the Washington establishment is desperate to change the conversation about 9/11. This is how desperate they are: the people in charge of the domestic terrorism TEVUS database changed the race of the 9/11 hijackers from ‘Arab’ to ‘white’. They’re cooking the books to minimize Islamic terrorism and puff up white nationalism. Similarly, the people who want to rewrite history and change 9/11 into just another day of service do a disservice to the nation. It’s time to have an honest national conversation about the standard Islamic doctrines of sharia supremacy and jihad.
