Feb 01, 2023 UPDATE ; October 26, 2018: Columbus, OH: Federal prosecutors say that 19-year-old Naser Almadaoji of Beavercreek, Ohio, was arrested on Wednesday attempting to fly to Kazakhstan via Washington, D.C., and Germany, where he intended to be smuggled into Afghanistan to join the ISIS affiliate there. According to U.S. Attorney for Southern Ohio Benjamin Glassman, Almadaoji came to the U.S. from Iraq about a decade ago. Glassman also said that at some point Almadaoji made a video of himself pledging allegiance to ISIS “caliph” Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. Feb 01, 2023, Naser Almadaoji, 23, an Iraqi-born U.S. citizen, was sentenced to 10 years in prison, followed by 15 years of supervised release.

February 03 2023, Los Angeles and Washington, DC.: At least two U.S. rallies were scheduled for Friday call for “Glory to Our Martyrs in Jenin.” The rallies in Los Angeles and Washington, D.C. are led by the Palestinian Youth Movement (PYM), a virulently anti-Israel group that has a history of whitewashing terrorism and painting Palestinians as victims. PYM is a fairly new radical youth organization and they were glorifying Palestinian terrorists where Israeli forces came under immediate fire during the raid, IDF surveillance video shows Palestinians tossing explosives and firebombs from rooftops. This is consistent with PYM ideology.

February 02, 2023, Newark, NJ: A former Boy Scout, James Bradley, 21, arrested in New Jersey in 2021 while boarding a Yemen-bound ship so he could join ISIS in the war-torn country was sentenced to 11 years in federal prison on Thursday. Bradley, of the Bronx, pleaded guilty in September to one count of attempting to provide material support or resources to a designated foreign terrorist organization. He became infatuated with the terror group after he converted to Islam near the end of his senior year in high school in 2018 and began attending services at a mosque on the Upper East Side. At the mosque, the teen met Mohammed Delowar Hossain, a radical who “groomed and radicalized James….”

February 02, 2023, New York: Ruslan Maratovich Asainov was brought from the battlefields of Syria to a New York lockup, a US citizen charged with serving as a sniper and weapons trainer for ISIS. And even in jail, Asainov kept a makeshift version of the militants’ black flag right above the desk in his cell, according to trial testimony this week.

Feburary 01, 2023: New York:  VICTORIA JACOBS a/k/a BAKHROM TALIPOV, 43, for using cryptocurrency to provide financial support to violent terrorist groups operating in Syria. JACOBS is charged in a New York State Supreme Court indictment with Soliciting or Providing Support for an Act of Terrorism in the First Degree, as a Crime of Terrorism; Money Laundering; and other charges. The indictment follows a year-and-a-half-long investigation by the NYPD Intelligence Bureau and the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office’s Counter Terrorism Program. JACOBS provided material support to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, a U.S. State Department-designated foreign terrorist organization, while living in New York City. JACOBS allegedly provided more than $5,000 to the terrorist training group “Malhama Tactical,” which fought with and provided special tactical and military training to Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham.

January 30, 2023, Newark, N.J. Bader Alzahrani was arrested in Pennsylvania. The 22-year-old man was charged with receipt of a stolen vehicle and transportation of a stolen vehicle. He had made journals with entries in English and Arabic. They contained such phrases as “God I am ready for your orders. I want to live the rest of my life to serve you and the religion.” “Blood, blood, destruction, destruction. Allah.” and “Jews control everything.” Alzahrani is in the United States on a student visa.  (Source 2)

January 30, 2023, Detroit, MI: A federal jury convicted Ibraheem Izzy Musaibli, 32, of charges of providing and attempting to provide material support to the Islamic State group, conspiring to provide material support to the group, and attending an Islamic State training camp. Musaibli, a natural-born U.S. citizen, was captured by the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces in 2018, flown back to the U.S. and charged in July 2018. He was convicted following a 9-day trial in U.S. District Court in Detroit.

January 27, 2023, New York: The Justice Department announced new arrests in a plot to kill New York-based journalist, and human rights activist, Masih Alinejad, who is critical of the Iranian government. The DOJ said in a statement Friday that since at least July, the three men have been “tasked with carrying out” the murder of Alinejad, “who previously has been the target of plots by the government of Iran to intimidate, harass and kidnap” her. “As recently as 2020 and 2021, Iranian intelligence officials and assets plotted to kidnap the (Alinejad) from within the United States for rendition to Iran in an effort to silence the (Alinejad’s) criticism of the regime,” the department said in a statement.

January 06, 2023, Las Vegas, NV: Mohammad Mesmarian, 34, was arrested for allegedly ramming his Toyota Camry into a Las Vegas solar energy generator pit and setting it on fire. Mesmarian was arrested on Thursday, 30 miles from the crime scene, and allegedly told police he did it ‘for the future’. Source
