Biden Pretzel Logic: ‘We Must Embrace Antisemites to Fight Antisemites’

As Daniel Greenfield notes of Deborah Lipstadt, U.S. Special Envoy for Monitoring and Combating Antisemitism, “It’s always awkward when you have to explain how, as part of the price of fighting antisemitism, you have to ally with antisemites”. His piece here references the Biden White House antisemitism plan that explicitly names the Muslim Brotherhood front group, CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations), the U.S. branch of HAMAS, as a partner in its program. Lipstadt did assure us, however, that “I’m not naïve”.  Then what? Shukri Abdullahi Abdirahman was a 2022 GOP candidate for the 5th Congressional District in Minnesota who touts herself as a MAGA Republican. More recently however, she has unleashed a dangerous torrent of criticism aimed at Amy Mek, the founder of the RAIR Foundation, accusing her of Islamophobia. As Abdirahman, a devout, sharia-adherent Muslim, well knows, such an accusation not only exposed Mek to an outpouring of attacks on social media but carries with it as well an invitation to even more violent, possibly physical, attacks. While there is no indication that Abdirahman maintains ties to Muslim Brotherhood-linked individuals or groups, the obligations of Islamic Law are binding on all faithful Muslims. And finally, of course, there is no such thing as freedom of speech under Islamic Law (sharia).

Editor’s CornerDoes this Muslim in the State Department’s Foreign Service believe in sharia supremacy and violent jihad as the means to achieve it, as all observant Muslims are supposed to do?  We don’t know, because nobody in our irresponsible federal government has asked.
