Your privacy is very important to us. We designed our Data Use Policy to make important disclosures about how you can use The United West to share with others and how we collect and can use your content and information.
Sharing Your Content and Information
You own all of the content and information you post on theunitedwest.org website.
In addition
For content that is covered by intellectual property rights, like photos and videos (IP content), you specifically give us the following permission: you grant us a non-exclusive, transferable, sub-licensable, royalty-free, worldwide license to use any IP content that you post on or in connection with The United West (IP License). This IP License ends when you delete your IP content or your account unless your content has been shared with others, and they have not deleted it.
Rights in Content Posted By You By publishing, displaying or uploading any text, links, photos, video, messages or other data or information (collectively, “Content”) on or to the website (including on or to your profile), you automatically grant, and you represent and warrant that you have the right to grant to The United West an irrevocable, perpetual, non-exclusive, fully-paid and worldwide license to use, copy, perform, display and distribute such Content and to prepare derivative works of, or incorporate into other works, such Content and to grant and authorize sub-licenses of the foregoing.
Publishing Content
When you publish content or information using the Public setting, it means that you are allowing everyone, including people off of The United West, to access and use that information, and to associate it with you (i.e., your name and profile picture).
Removing Content
You understand and agree that we may review and delete any content that you include in your profile or otherwise post on any area of the website (which may include deleting your entire profile) that we, in our sole judgment, believe (1) violates this Agreement, (2) might be offensive or illegal or (3) might violate the rights of, harm or threaten the safety of any other Member.
When you delete IP content, it is deleted in a manner similar to emptying the recycle bin on a computer. However, you understand that removed content may persist in backup copies for a reasonable period of time (but will not be available to others).
Using Applications
When you use an application, the application may ask for your permission to access your content and information as well as content and information that others have shared with you. We require applications to respect your privacy, and your agreement with that application will control how the application can use, store, and transfer that content and information.
